The unlocked i9-14900KS processor once again breaks the turbo speed record for the Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processor family – following last year’s release of the first-ever 6.0 GHz Core i9-13900KS. Additionally, the i9-14900KS features 24 cores, 32 threads, and 36 MB of Intel® Smart Cache, providing impressive performance for desktop enthusiasts in gaming and content creation workloads.

With the astonishing speed of the Intel Core 14th Gen processor i9-14900KS and the powerful capabilities of the Intel Adaptix Performance Optimizer (APO), gaming performance is improved by 15% compared to the previous generation. Content creators also benefit from the outstanding performance of the i9-14900KS, with significant efficiency gains in compute-intensive workflows such as 3D rendering and multitasking.

Key features of the Intel Core 14th Gen processor i9-14900KS include:

  • Utilization of Intel® Thermal Velocity Boost technology, helping achieve turbo frequencies of up to 6.2 GHz, making it the fastest desktop processor ever by Intel.
  • Featuring 24 cores (8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores), 32 threads, 150W processor base power, 36MB Intel Smart Cache, and 20 PCIe lanes (16 PCIe 5.0 lanes and 4 PCIe 4.0 lanes).
  • Enhanced support with the Intel Adaptix Performance Optimizer (APO) for i9-14900KS. Performance can be boosted by up to 11% for games that support this optimizer. Intel continues to expand APO support, currently supporting 14 games.
  • Support for up to 192GB of DDR5 5600 MT/s or DDR4 3200 MT/s memory.
  • Compatibility with Z790 and Z690 motherboards, delivering exceptional experiences for gaming and content creation with the latest BIOS updates.

This special edition processor will be available on March 14, 2024. At that time, retailers worldwide will offer boxed retail packaging, or it will be available as integrated terminal products through Intel channels and OEM partners.
